Celltech Labs Inc. has an immediate opening for an Electrical/Electronics Engineering Associate for the position of Compliance Test Engineer. Celltech Labs Inc. is an EMC, RF and SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) compliance and engineering test facility located in Kelowna, BC. We offer a complete independent test facility specializing in compliance testing of electronic intentional and unintentional radiators to meet international consumer and occupational standards for North America, Europe, Australia, and through our ISO 17025 accreditation with A2LA (ILAC member) and Mutual Recognition Agreements, to virtually all areas of the world.
As a Compliance Test Engineer, you will have the responsibility to set up and test a variety of consumer products including mobile devices, WiFi and BlueTooth devices, Push-To-Talk radios, SCADA and Telemetry devices and many other types of RF products. You will be testing to a wide range of test standards such as FCC, Industry Canada, ANSI, IEEE and IEC.
You will primarily be involved in SAR testing, which is the measure of the amountof RF energy absorbed by human tissue. As well you will become proficient in testing for EMC and RF compliance testing and European CE mark (Immunity) testing. You will be responsible for operating spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, modulation analyzers, RF signal generators and power amplifies, RF power measuring equipment, oscilloscopes and a host of measurement antennas. You will also be responsible for maintaining the lab's measurement equipment including internal and external calibration as well as many other lab and equipment tasks.
We are looking for an eager and self-motivated individual with a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or greater with an aptitude in RF technology. Excellent writing and communication skills are a must as extensive reports are required for each certification.
This is an entry level position and salary will be based on a review and commensurate to the candidates experience and capabilities. Celltech has a group benefit plan which is available to the successful candidate to join after a successfully completing a preliminary probationary period.
