MonkeyMedia Software provides solutions to multi-unit restaurants, bakeries and other members of the food industry to manage customers, orders, production, distribution, and inventory. The company has been in operation since 1998 and is in need of hiring a Technical Support & Implementation Specialistkjh.

What we are looking for:

  • A logical thinker who has the ability to read and XML, JSON and other schemas / hierarchy and who understands and can construct command line ‘type’ switches to map data items between two systems.

  • Experience with SQL / HTML / XML.
  • A problem solver who enjoys and is able to understand complex software setup and configuration and be able to diagnose and resolve configuration and integration issues with third party applications.
  • Ability to extract and communicate software configuration requirements to technical and non-technical people.

  • Ability to learn systems and procedures quickly and on the fly.

  • Adept at handling multiple assignments, shifting priorities, and interruptions.

  • Experience working with restaurant POS and/or operations an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate, take ownership and influence people / exercise expertise in a positive team / project environment.

  • Contributor of ideas and takes action to achieve successful project implementations and improve processes and methodologies.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver, resourceful with a highly developed attention to detail.

  • Customer-centric focus with an appreciation for the Business.

  • Ability to manage the ever changing demands and expectations of clients within the constraints of a product development roadmap.

  • Self starter, motivator, highly focussed with the ability to work in a distributed team environment.

  • Experience with SaaS software. Basic understanding of HTML.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What you will be doing

  • Participate in SaaS-based software implementation projects from initial engagement, system setup and configuration, through to pilot and rollout.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the setup and configuration of software implementations for allocated clients / projects.

  • Work alongside Project Managers, additional Implementation Consultants, Trainers and Technical Leads.

  • Using proven processes, execute against project documentation including charters, project activity logs and schedules.

  • Regularly engage with clients dispersed across the United States and Canada using email, telephone, conferencing, screen sharing and occasional on-site visits.

  • Drive, track and provide status reports to the project team on the progress of implementations with a proactive approach.
  • Highlight potential risks and offer mitigation strategies, escalating roadblocks as necessary.

  • Thrive in a team environment with smart people who love debating, challenging the status quo, and working with complex requirements.

  • Work as part of a dynamic team to deliver answers and resolutions.

  • Actively participate in the incremental improvement of project processes and systems.

  • Identify and execute on opportunities for self-improvement in areas such as issue detection and resolution, etc.


  • Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent related experience.

The working environment is a combination of distributed and in-office, the successful candidate will need to reside the metro Vancouver / lower mainland area of BC in order to attend weekly in-office meetings.
