Monday to Friday. However will include, on occasion, some Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays (5 hours).

Home base is the Langley WorkBC Centre.

The Role
The Team Lead-Employer Engagement will coach and support the Employment Placement Team to maintain and build a robust employer network and ensure that the team meets the Centre's wage subsidy and key performance targets. They will deliver Intake and Wage Subsidy Services and support the Program Manager ( CCSP ) where needed.


• Oversight for Employer engagement and wage subsidy
• Create, review and approve Wage Subsidy Agreements
• Check for new applications and work with Clients on the Initial Assessment and review of available services
• Conduct monthly file reviews to ensure documentation guidelines are followed
• Conduct Wage Subsidy on site monitoring
• Review monthly placement targets with Employment Placement Team
• Create and oversee employee work scheduling
• Review and approve monthly Client Success Stories

Additional Duties:
• Coordinate with CCSP and other Team Lead to implement centre initiatives and strategies for improvement and increased client access.
• Coordinate with other Team Lead to implement cross training efforts between staff
• Lead and participate in weekly team meetings, strategic planning sessions and performance management reviews;
• Review website to ensure workshop calendar and client feedback is current and up to date
• Work to Training Group's Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015 standard;
• Miscellaneous as required.

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
• Post-Secondary degree, in employment services related field or equivalent level of experience and qualifications;
• Certified Career Development Practitioner ( CCDP ) Certification an asset;
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of local labour market and labour market trends;
• Knowledge of WorkBC and its mandate;

• Providing customer service and resolving issues in person & virtual service delivery environment;
• Supervising a team of employment professionals;
• Interpreting & applying policy or legislation;
• Conducting & interpreting client needs assessments;
• Working with individuals with complex barriers and a wide range of cultural backgrounds;
• Using on-line reporting and communication portals/databases;
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
