Working under the direction of the Director, Table Games, the Table Games Trainer will manage and deliver all aspects of training in the Table Games department. The Table Games Trainer will review various Table Games training needs and in this role will be responsible for maximizing efficiencies with Table Games training deliverables including costs, program quality, retention, recruitment and training innovation. The Table Games Trainer will actively assist in reviewing all Table Games dealing procedures and making recommendations for improvements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Deliver Table Games training and conduct table testing for all incoming Dealers •Assess the skillset and evaluate performance of new trainees during training programs as well as work with individuals to reach technical competency to perform effectively •Deliver Table Games training to on-site colleagues •Develop and streamline Table Games training programs and timelines that best fit operational goals •Review of all Table Games training programs and develop change recommendations to improve quality and cost •Determine best methods and provide effective feedback when coaching and developing trainees and trainers •Review turnover and retention rates for Table Games and make recommendations for improvement •Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations •Perform other duties as assigned or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

    •Minimum 3 years of experience in Table Games •Experience dealing poker and roulette an asset •Knowledge of all table games and gaming industry standards •High school diploma required •Demonstrate a desire to train others to enhance learning and to develop their skills •Demonstrate strategic planning experience with the ability to develop new programs and initiatives •Personify Great Canadian's Values in action: Integrity, Team Engagement, Drive to Succeed, Service Excellence and Citizenship •A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests •Effective written and verbal communication skills •Experience with scheduling an asset •Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset •Ability to successfully obtain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
