You are a highly motivated self-starter, and you appreciate and embrace the culture of collaboration and effective communications, and you are comfortable with a balance between working individually in the details and collaborating with others to get that work done.Responsibilities:
•Interface between our internal stakeholders and our technical experts to identify business requirements and translate those into technical deliverables
•Estimate, document, implement/optimize and sometime prime required work effort to address requirements from both growth and sustainment perspectives
•Participate in full life cycle of development of new features and modification of existing features while emphasizing maintainability, reliability, scalability and performance
•Create technical design documentation (e.g. files, database tables, program modules, screens, reports etc) to deliver required results
•Development, testing and implementation of application changes as outlined in the analysis and design process
•Plan and coordinate installation of new software and software upgrade
•Test and debug program units in conjunction with other units and/or systems and integrate with other program modules and systems
•Collaborate with team members, end users and/or other cross functional stakeholders as required
•Provide 3rd level support as necessary
•Test, identify issues, troubleshoot to determine root cause
•Track issues and ensure that they are resolved satisfactorily
*LI-DS1 Qualifications:Required Knowledge:
•Development languages and protocols: Java, Java Script, JMS, Ajax, JSON, XML/XSLT, Web Services, SOA, IONIC Framework, NodeJS Required Skills & Abilities:
•Solid working experience with Linux, Unix, Windows, Mac, IOS
•Strong analysis and design skills using OOA/D, UML, design patterns
•Strong database skills and knowledge: Oracle 10 and higher, SQL, JDBC, PL/SQL, stored procedures/function
•Tools and frameworks: JUnit, Eclipse, XML Spy, TOAD, Maven, Spring
•Knowledge of process improvement techniques advantageous (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
•Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and working knowledge and experience on Agile is a must
•Experience with Ant, clearcase or/and equivalent source control systems
•Knowledge of Telecommunication and Mediation(MediationZone) is an asset
•Working knowledge and experience of DevOps is an asset
•Strong verbal and written communication skills Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Ability to take ownership and be a self-starter
•Strong team player
•Strong problem-solving skills
•IOS Mobile App development experience is an asset
•University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable Required Experience:
•Certifications in any of the above technologies and frameworks is an asset
