Reporting to the Superintendent of Supply Chain Management, the SCM Data and Process Specialist provides technical and practical expertise in maintaining and improving Supply Chain Management (SCM) business processes and administering Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program configuration and administration.

The SCM Data and Process Specialist will work with the Supply Chain Management Superintendent and the technical EAM program team to ensure operational compliance with the business process and intended EAM use as designed. The role's focus will be supporting the SCM department in stabilizing the EAM program and aligning SCM processes for the ERP2 implementation.

Excellent knowledge and awareness of SCM systems in an industrial environment, data administration experience, and time operating with or building established business processes are considered essential to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Establish appropriate measures to monitor adherence to processes and data standards
  • Ensure compliance to data standards within the SCM warehousing and purchasing areas
  • Govern Item master records built for site
  • Govern Inventory records and associated data objects created for site
  • Review created Vendor Branch records
  • Ensures users work within the defined platform design and business process
  • Lead improvement to established processes
  • Periodic review of existing system access for SCM roles (ensure person aligns with role)
  • Interface with corporate EAM development team to ensure data quality and platform function
  • Communicate and collaborate on site priorities, ideas, defect resolution, testing, new features and functions
  • Represent site within the respective operational user groups - coordinate and facilitate idea generation, gathering requirements and specifications, and prioritization
  • Responsible for the continual integrity of the site SCM process and supporting EAM operation
  • Interface with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Training teams to ensure they are interlocked with upcoming features / functionality or business processes and standards to ensure effective change management of impacted stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Completion or enrolment in the Supply Chain Management Professional designation.
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, or Office Administration.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive purchasing experience, strong written and oral communication skills, and proven interpersonal and follow-up skills are required
  • SAP S4 demonstrated proficiency with using the system required
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®, especially Outlook, Word, Maximo, SAP and Excel
  • Self-motivated, capable of working under minimal supervision, and functions best in a high-performance work environment
  • Excellent negotiating, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in the Supply Management field with a good understanding of all aspects of supply chain management; including contract structures, terms, and conditions
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
  • Possess a minimum of a valid class 5 driver's license.

Salary Range: CAD $119,000 - $147,000 per year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
