Supervisor, Purchasing Administration

Role Description

Kal Tire is looking to hire a Supervisor, Purchasing Administration. The Purchasing Administration Supervisor is a subject matter expert in product & pricing maintenance and set-up, as well as information systems. Main responsibilities include the oversight of products and pricing across Kal Tire's systems, ensuring effective administration, data quality, and system integrity. This role requires a combination of strong business process knowledge, technical acumen and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

The position reports to the Manager of Purchasing Administration,


Product & Pricing

• Supervise team responsible for the administration of product and pricing across Kal Tire's systems.
• Ensure product and pricing is successfully applied in system of record and all downstream environments.
• Guide team in setting up supplier programs and adjusting as required based on various factors and systems limitations, bearing in mind potential impacts to all areas of the business.
• Develop and maintain policies, processes, best practices, and tools for managing product and pricing across multiple systems.
• Review systems and programs to ensure proper execution and accuracy.
• Work with management regarding all aspects of pricing; including policies, customer pricing levels, regional pricing, strategic pricing initiatives, future pricing approaches.

Information Systems

• Subject matter expert with respect to Kal Tire's systems (D365, TSS, KINS and PeopleSoft).
• Find flexible solutions for the business without compromising system integrity and data quality.
• Implement routine reports, alerts, or manual processes to ensure systems are in sync with one another around critical data points (e.g., product, cost, price, inventory, levies, etc.).
• Investigate/troubleshoot system issues and assess business impact.
• Plan and coordinate testing effort to ensure safe application of fixes/enhancements.
• Establish a strong working knowledge of system integrations required to properly manage data resulting from business updates.


• Supervise product and pricing team members.
• Recruit, interview, and select new team members.
• Plan, prepare and devise work schedules.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team. Conducts annual performance evaluations.

Work Experience

• 5 years in an office environment with a company of similar size.
• 5 years Warehouse and supply chain management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expert knowledge of Warehouse management systems and Point of Sale systems.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, develop, and coach team members.
• Ability to lead and direct a team.


• University degree, preferably in Business Administration.

Negotiable Requirements

• Supervisory experience.
• Kal Tire systems experience.
