Superintendent, Structures

Our Structures Division Coquitlam Ridge Constructors is currently seeking a team-oriented, self-motivated, and dedicated individual to join our operations team as a Structures Superintendent.

Applicants must have substantial experience in Bridge Construction with extensive knowledge in all aspects of reinforced concrete works, critical lifting, and a strong understanding of foundations and earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, the scope of work, drawings, and specifications prior to starting a new job site. Identify any variances and submit them to the Construction Manager for RFI.
• Responsible for the administration and scheduling of day-to-day operations, all aspects of quality control
• Prepare and provide layout/construction drawings
• Coordinate and schedule Foremen, crew members, and equipment requirements
• Responsible for the project financial results, which includes keeping the project budget up to date.
• Ensure all necessary permits are obtained.
• Review, verify and integrate job costs in ERP software
• Prepare Daily Quantity Reports (DQR) for monthly progress billing(s)

• Interest in bridge construction activities and processes
• Ability to maintain composure in dealing with stressful situations
• Familiarity with applicable standard specifications (MoTI, MMCD, WorkSafe, and Traffic Management)
• Ability to read and interpret site plans/blueprints and lookup specifications from MoTI / MMCD
• Have a working knowledge of construction contracts and terminology
• Good Computer Skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, ERP software & project collaboration

Desirable Qualifications and Knowledge

• Minimum 5 years of Experience
• Red Seal in Carpentry
• CCA Gold Seal - Superintendent
• Construction Management Fundamentals
