We’re Xspace, a new way of schooling that provides an ELL-focused, North American system of study to students.  We offer G8-12 credit courses through our personalized and collaborative online-offline programs, maximizing the use of digital resources and applications in both virtual and physical classroom settings.

We are currently looking for a full-time Student Services Coordinator for our high school blended learning program, Xspace Unicademy. Xspace’s blended learning programs create a space where students can interact in purposeful ways with peers, digital course materials, online and offline instructors in a physical classroom setting.  Qualified educators from Xspace and partner school districts will be working collaboratively to guide students through coursework, while helping students develop long-term soft skills and offering personalized instruction that fits students’ individual needs.  All Xspace students graduate with a BC or Ontario High school diploma.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Student Admissions

    • Handling inquiries from prospective students/parents, introducing Xspace’s programs and services to them

    • Completing enrolment procedures for new students (invoicing, tuition and document collection, student profile creation, etc.)

    • Liaising with recruiters/agents and assisting in image building and promotion by managing marketing materials and resources (e.g. student testimonials, photo walls, etc.)

  • Graduation and University Planning/Advising

    • Assisting prospective and enrolled students with high school graduation and university planning based on academic performance and interests

    • Working with current students on modifications of graduation and university plans based on academic performance in the program

  • International Student Services 

    • Assist students with university application procedures, including selection of schools, document collection and advising on writing personal statements and interview training

    • Liaise with business partners for coordination of other international student services such as IELTS, study permit application, health insurance, homestays, etc. 

  • Program Administration

    • Organize regular extracurricular activities for students (e.g. field trips, clubs, workshops) to encourage soft skill development and community engagement

    • Coordinate with partner school regarding program affairs

  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with international high school students in an educational setting

  • Demonstrated strong experience in student service coordination 

  • Strong international student service mind-set, communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Bilingual skills are an asset

  • Adapts and quickly responds to changes in the workplace

  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications
