Position Overview:

TELUS digital is seeking a Strategy Manager who will help shape and deliver consistent and secure digital experiences that put our customers first, supporting a wide range of teams across the organization and digital agency groups working on website and app delivery. The ideal candidate will be a key player in our digital governance program. You'll need to be aware of key strategic programs and roadmaps within the organization and be able to connect the dots for teams, while ensuring that digital products being built are solving customer problems and deliver on outcomes. You'll ensure that digital delivery aligns to our digital standards (which span across user experience, accessibility, security and technology). You will also drive digital awareness and adoption across the organization and evolve our governance roadmap.

What you'll do:
    •Consult a diverse stakeholder mix - quickly understand their customer base and opportunity and provide guidance to ensure the digital solution implemented will deliver on desired outcomes
    •Be a Digital Ambassador about best practices and ensure that standards are met when it comes to user experience, accessibility, security and technology
    •Drive organization awareness and adoption of digital first considerations when delivering products and experiences
    •Evolve our digital governance program and roadmap
    •Driving strategic considerations by looking at business benefits, technical and experience alignment and operationalization of products
    •Build awareness of the digital roadmaps across the different teams to understand the digital landscape and be able to influence the teams around TELUS to partner and deliver digital products solving customer problems
    •Participate in weekly digital governance forum (Digital Review Board) and provide feedback and guidance to stakeholder groups
    •Build relationships and networks across multiple internal teams and vendor/agency partners to help deliver a consistently great digital user experience for TELUS


You have:
    •A love for digital, the experiences and technologies that enable it
    •Knowledge of lean, lean startup methodologies and principles
    •Knowledge and practice of user centric design
    •Knowledge of modern web delivery techniques

What you'll need to be successful:
    •Ability to quickly understand stakeholders' roadmaps, planning and delivery and provide critical strategic guidance
    •Develop and articulate succinct rationale supporting recommendations
    •Strong communication skills, including facilitation, moderation and negotiation
    •Skilled at operating within a corporate environment with the ability to network, negotiate and influence people across the organisational hierarchy
    •Demonstrated ability to build relationships
    •Demonstrated initiative-taking and pro-activeness
    •Problem solving skills
    •Experience with digital programs and projects
    •Experience with analytics and reporting is an asset

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •A BA, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or Computer Science
    •Previous experience in digital environments is an asset

Required Experience:
    •5-7 years in program management/digital strategy
