As part of KPMG's strategic commitment to growth, this role within the BC Clients and Markets team, will be responsible for contributing to business development, supporting leadership and the key account team, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting account based marketing efforts. The Manager works with Lead Partners and Industry Leaders to support revenue growth within the assigned key account portfolio. This is a complex role with responsibility for bringing structure, insight, and foresight to how we present the power of the firm to help our clients create more value,

What you will do
Account Strategy, Planning and Management
  • Manage a key account portfolio which includes co-development of detailed account plans, relationship mapping, opportunity identification, and pipeline management, acting as a strategic advisor to Account Lead Partner
  • Drive annual and multi-year account planning based on an in-depth understanding of client priorities and of KPMG's services and solutions
  • Work with the account team to develop and track the client relationship strategy and identify key stakeholders, develop plans and touch point campaigns to strengthen relationships
  • Provide guidance and facilitate the development, strategy and execution for both internal and external client meeting deliverables, knowledge sharing and distribution
  • Ensure that all parts of the account team have full awareness of the account activities and results, both business and financial results, acting as central point for information related to the account
  • Track, measures and reports regularly on regional financial results and activities against goals and objectives
  • Share best practices across accounts and advocates for sharing of resources and tools

Pipeline Management
  • Work with client service and account team to Identify and qualify business opportunities and relationships
  • Incorporate, facilitate and act as a champion for KPMG's sales methodology on active opportunities and client interactions
  • Collaborate with proposal and account teams to leverage KPMG resources (i.e. Research, Communications, Writers and Legal) as required for opportunities

Exceptional Client Service Excellence
  • Enable client service excellence through key account teams by being responsive, insightful and connected to the client
  • Actively support KPMG's client feedback program, including formal proposal debriefs, incorporating results into account strategy and future actions

At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. What you bring to the role
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in account management, consulting professional services
  • A University degree in business, finance or related field
  • Experience working with senior leadership and excellent communications skills
  • Experience in project management including working within demanding deadlines and budgets
  • Proficient with MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and RFP process preferred, marketing and proposal writing experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with CRM system is an asset

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
In British Columbia, the expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
