The Ministry of Forests is responsible for the stewardship of provincial Crown land and ensures the sustainable management of forest, wildlife, water and other land-based resources. The Ministry works with Indigenous and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies.
The Revenue Technician, working with an experienced, multi-disciplinary team, provides a range of technical evaluation and advisory services to support decisions on the use of natural resources, and the achievement of resource management objectives.
Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mackenzie provides a wealth of outdoor activities like snowmobiling, cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, mountain biking and camping. Fishing, boating, paddling and swimming sites are plentiful, including Morfee Lake, a beautiful lake right in town.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Diploma or Degree in a Natural Resource field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- One or more years related experience working in natural resource management.
- Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
- Registered, or immediately eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist or Registered Professional Forester with the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals. [Note:Immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction to the ABCFP].

- Must be willing and able to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
