Skilled Labourer - Remote Camp

We are looking for an individual to fill a Labourer position here at Rugged Edge Holdings Ltd. We are based out of Smithers, B.C. but the position will be at multiple remote camp locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with a team who are actively engaged in contributing to and supporting operations and the success of our Clients, as well as our fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Heavy manual labour: shoveling, carrying / lifting over 50 lbs
• Shift Work / Seasonal / Long work Hours
• Willing to maintain and develop your skills
• Troubleshoot and quick thinking
• Work with minimal supervision while working efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
• Operation of hand tools, power saw, rock saw, power drill
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions
• Good communication skills

Must Have:

• Valid Drivers License with a clean Abstract
• Basic Carpentry Knowledge and Experience
• Knowledge of power tools
• Basic Computer and Device Skills
• Basic 2 way radio communication skills
• Be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test

Considered an Asset:

• Helicopter / Slinging Experience
• Occupational First Aid Level 1
• Transportation Endorsement
• Chainsaw Safety or Equivalent Experience
