Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is highly motivated and has the drive and ability to analyze the Company's financial data to support the business units of the Company. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and providing financial reports for the leaders of the Company.

Job Duties:
  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models; including annual and monthly departmental budgets
  • Providing monthly variance analysis and MD&A support to the financial reporting team
  • Analyzing financial KPI's, performing trend analysis, and developing strategies/outcomes based on data analysis
  • Preparing monthly financial reporting packages
  • Preparing quarterly board and investor reporting packages
  • Leading bi-weekly financial/operations update meeting
  • Supporting senior sales, marketing, and operations leadership by providing ad-hoc financial analysis to support business segments (e.g., profitability analysis for the Company's warehouse business, etc.)
  • Working with numerous outsourced service providers to develop new processes and improve existing

Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Power BI an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on both micro and macro issues simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill large amounts of data into discrete insights and actionable items
  • Great listening and presentation skills
  • A natural curiosity and ability to spot trends and patterns in data
  • Ability to provide quantitative analysis incorporating complex customer lifetime value, and acquisition cost metrics
  • Ability to prioritize and work on many tasks simultaneously; and willingness to assist other team members across the entire organization
  • Results-orientated with the ability to work cooperatively, build and manage relationships, and influence decisions at a senior level

Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant, hands-on experience in a financial analyst role, including business modeling and financial analysis
  • A proven track-record in developing complex financial models capable of producing timely and accurate forward looking financial information
  • Solid experience working with cross functional teams; and an ability to collaborate in ways that are meaningful to the success of the business
  • Exceptional Excel skills and ability to write macros
  • Experience working within publicly traded companies

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) required
  • CPA or CFA designation an asset
