Responsibilities

    • Create and implement age-appropriate activities for participants. • Teach the fundamental skills along with the rules of the games in a fun and safe environment. • Ensure general program readiness, including equipment, lesson plans and attendance lists. • Communicate effectively with parents and participants on objectives, expectations, and rules. • Deliver quality instructions for children aged 3-12. • Motivate and encourage players.


Qualifications

    • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by some post-secondary education from a recognized institution or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience. • One experience of teaching soccer, badminton and basketball. • Current Emergency First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification. • High Five certification or willingness to obtain within the first six months of employment. • NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills certification is required within six months of employment. • Experience planning and leading programs. • Previous experience as a coach/instructor is an asset.


Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of a Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Check. Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
