Fraser Health has an exciting relief full time opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC.

Build on your education and experience as you:
    •Provide speech language assessment for a patient's communication, speech and swallow functional abilities, needs, and goals. •Analyze patients' needs, establish speech language and dysphagia diagnosis and prognosis and develop an evidence-based, outcome-focused intervention strategy. •Implement interventions in accordance with established treatment guidelines and educate patients and caregivers regarding self-management, health promotion and injury/disability prevention. •Participate in the inter-professional care planning process for patients by ensuring the plan is established and implemented effectively, updating care plan and intervening as appropriate and collaborating and communicating on issues that may impact the care/transfer/discharge plan. •Delegate components of treatment to speech assistants by providing work direction and verbal and/or written instruction, ensuring the appropriate transfer of function and quality patient care.
