Our International Corporate Tax group's primary focus is to create flexible structures that help reduce corporate and project-level taxation while meeting the business, legal, and financing needs of our clients. The group focuses on a wide range of inbound and outbound taxation issues affecting business operations conducted in Canada, the US, and abroad.
As a member of this team you will work closely with KPMG Management on a range of advisory and compliance functions, and corporate tax planning initiatives.

As a member of this team you will work closely with KPMG Management on a range of advisory and compliance functions, and corporate tax planning initiatives.
What you will do
- Work with Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners on a range of international tax advisory projects involving Canadian multinational corporations operating abroad and foreign companies investing into Canada
- Take the lead on the preparation of tax returns, T1134 forms, FAPI computations, and surplus calculations. The successful candidate's main responsibilities in their first year will be international corporate tax compliance
- Prepare detailed documents and communications for clients, including technical memos and client-specific advice letters
- Provide assistance to senior staff through support in research, development, implementation, project strategy and other international tax initiatives for specific clients
- Conduct and present tax research
- Opportunity to develop and assist with tax planning strategies for our clients
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm
- Successfully passed the CFE, and has obtained or is in process of obtaining a CPA designation or MTax degree
- Currently enrolled or willing to enroll in the In-Depth tax course
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Is keen to assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients
- Willingly takes on and learns new skills by researching a wide variety of tax issues
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintain strong client relationships
