In this senior professional role your work will include identifying, designing, and evaluating alternative IM/IT solutions, and developing IM/IT solution models from the conceptual level through logical and high-level physical architectures. To ensure effective outcomes, you will architect solutions that address desired functions, benefits and outcomes and estimate the costs of delivering the solutions.Build on your career experience as you:
•Provide solution architecture design expertise by understanding and reviewing requirements and analyzing and translating business and clinical needs into an architectural plan that outlines whole solutions to meet those needs. •Present related consultation and advice to Executive, Senior Management, Informatics Councils, Initiative Executive Sponsors, IM project staff and to the Project Steering Committees. •Design the IM/IT Solution Architecture to enable the business solution at the conceptual and logical architecture level (and high-level physical as necessary), to integrate across applications, systems and platforms, and to support Fraser Health's business needs. •Architect the solution development, testing, quality assurance, migration and operational components to ensure the successful development, implementation and ongoing support of solutions. •Participate in risk assessments, risk management planning and audits related to Information Management processes, applications, technology and security. •Collaborate in the business solution design of assigned initiatives; provides skills and expertise in the areas of modeling function and process, information and data. Contributes to the development of a program tactical plan (initiatives roadmap) to achieve the health care program strategy. •Ensure that all solution features are necessary and sufficient to support clinical and business needs and benefits; collaborates with IM/IT staff to ensure that the Solution Architecture will function in the FH Technology environment; •Provide expertise during the phases of the system implementation lifecycle. Are you motivated to join us? We will be looking for you to have the following:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Health Information Science or related field •Seven to ten years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including two to three years as a Solution Architect (SA) with experience related to the design, development and implementation of information management solutions with a strong emphasis on meeting business objectives or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. •As this role will involve some local travel you also require a valid BC Drivers' License and access to a vehicle.
Your expert knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration, familiarization with concepts of systems engineering (SOSE), and ability to collaborate and to explain IM complexities to others will be required to prepare you for this meaningful and dynamic role.
