We are seeking a Solution Architect, Facilities Redevelopment,
to provide business, application, information and high-level technology architecture design expertise and leadership to this largest Redevelopment initiative in FHA's history as well as to other Redevelopment projects actively in the Concept and Business Plan development phases.
You will bring your expert skills, insight and creativity to a role where you can make a difference in enabling effective health care delivery with innovated solutions, optimizing the realization of care delivery benefits, and mitigating IM risks.
In this senior specialist role your work will include identifying, designing, and evaluating alternative IM solutions, and developing IM solution models from the conceptual level through logical and high level physical architectures. To ensure effective outcomes, you will architect solutions that address desired functions, benefits and outcomes and estimate the costs of delivering the solutions and follow these initiatives to conclusion supporting the IMIT implementation teams.Your key areas of involvement include:
•Provides solution architecture design expertise by understanding and reviewing requirements and analyzing and translating business and clinical needs into an architectural plan that outlines whole solutions to meet those needs. •Provides related consultation and advice to Redevelopment Executive Sponsors, site leadership, clinical teams and implementation teams. Also to other corporate Senior Management, Informatics Councils, IMIT staff and other partner organizations in the Lower Mainland. •Designs the IM Solution Architecture to enable the business solution at the conceptual and logical architecture level (and high-level physical as necessary), to integrate across applications, systems and platforms, and to support both Fraser Health's and the Site's business needs. •Architects the solution development, testing, quality assurance, migration and operational components to ensure the successful development, implementation and ongoing support of solutions. •Participates in risk assessments, risk management planning and audits related to Information Management processes, applications, technology and security. •Participates in the business solution design of assigned initiatives; provides skills and expertise in the areas of modeling function and process, information and data. Contributes to the development of a ( initiative roadmap ) to achieve Redevelopment strategy and vision. •Ensures that all solution features are necessary and sufficient to support clinical needs and benefits; collaborates with IM staff to ensure that the Solution Architecture will function in the FH Technology environment; provides expertise during the phases of the system implementation lifecycle to ensure that the solution adheres to the approved architecture. What you'll need?
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Health Information Science or related field. •Plus seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including two (2) to three (3) years as a Solution Architect (SA) with experience related to the design, development and implementation of information management solutions •Strong emphasis on meeting business objectives or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. •Valid BC Drivers' License and access to a vehicle as this role involves local travel We will give preference to those that have:
•Experience working in Healthcare industry •Expert knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration, familiarization with concepts of systems engineering (SOSE). •Strong ability to collaborate and to explain IM complexities to others will be required to prepare you for this challenging and dynamic role.
We are looking for a self-directed, highly motivated individual who is comfortable at bringing their experience to projects where deadlines are critical and contractually mandated along with solutions that are progressively elaborated in a fast paced building design and construction project management led approach.
