Your new role
The role of the Software Developer is to assist on projects through studying operations; designing and developing technology solutions for their sophisticated data platform while assisting the greater engineering team. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, You will be fluidly jumping between APIs, middlewares and backend - including our entire stack while interacting with clients and the product team, often taking direction from the team and providing ongoing feedback to product development.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a web developer with a BS or MS in Computer Science or relevant field. The right candidate will have strong personal communication and articulation skills, both written and spoken and will thrive off teamwork and collaboration with others. To succeed in this role, you will have the following experience: * Experience with open-source query engines (Hadoop, Presto, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
* Experience with Java, Ruby, Scala, and Go
* Experience working running services in public cloud IaaS including computer, storage, relational databases, and load balancers to achieve service redundancy and robustness
* Experience with UNIX systems programming background and Linux networking internals
* Exposure to Message Pack, Fluentd, Embulk and/or Digdag
