Job Description
  • Work closely with product management, design, and fellow engineers to ship features - our stack is Java/Scala (we use Java Play Framework), Python, and Javascript (Typescript / Angular 4, to be precise). 
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA to improve code quality, code coverage, and ensure our service runs smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional engineering leaders to achieve a clean and simple architecture, prioritize and take up projects as needed. 
  • Help recruiter, onboard, and mentor peer engineers as needed.

  • Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Must have: At least 2+ years experience building clean, modular Java applications (with or without using Frameworks). 
  • Must have: Experience working with MySQL, MVC architecture, REST and JSON APIs.  
  • Must have: Lots of passion to design simple and modular code with good documentation and unit tests and good opinions on how to keep the code simple and clean. 
  • Nice to have: Experience with Docker, AWS, SumoLogic, etc. 
  • Nice to have: Experience with Angular, Bootstrap 
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with NoSQL databases
