The Amazon Product Replenishment organization is looking for a seasoned Software Development Manager.

The Amazon Product Replenishment organization owns the technology platform to enable customers to easily order high frequency replenishable products on Amazon. We own platform services that support Recurring Delivery programs like Subscribe & Save for customers and Recurring Delivery for businesses. Our systems enable Amazon to launch high-profile, customer-facing programs that span multiple Amazon categories, technologies, and countries. We are also in the process of launching two version one projects from the grounds up to enable easy and automated ordering of products. One of the products is in the domain of Internet of Things (IOT).

You will work directly with product managers, user experience designers, usability experts, and business leaders to define and build features that impact multiple categories. You will work with emerging technologies spanning both front and back-end systems to build features that require creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus in order to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include direct management of engineers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and collaboration with resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the e-commerce space, and will help us identify and meet customer needs.

Basic Qualifications

    •Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
    •At least six years of relevant work experience in and internet-related software applications environment
    •At least three years of experience managing technical staff
    •Demonstrated success hiring and developing technical talent
    •Demonstrated track record of initiating and delivering large, complex programs
    •Experience with OOD and object oriented languages
    •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    •Strong business and technical vision
    •Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

    •Master's degree in computer science or a related field
    •Prior experience as a software developer
    •Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
    •Experience with building web centric e-commerce features
