The Role: As a Software Development Manager, you will hire and develop a team of talented engineers to build the next generation of developer tooling. You will work with our product team to establish and execute a roadmap for investments in the first-party (AWS) and third-party (open source) tools and frameworks that developer use every day. You will collaborate with our developer advocacy team on materials for the features your team delivers. You will collaborate with service teams like Lambda and StepFunctions to ensure a great developer experience for new serverless features they launch. Importantly, you will help us to build and foster a collaborative open source community for developers around our tools. In this role, your team will deliver web experiences, CLIs, SDKs, and frameworks.
The ideal candidate is excited about technology and has a high degree of developer empathy. You don't accept "good enough," though you're pragmatic about where to invest. • Experience leading highly-skilled software engineering teams
• Experience developing and executing a software roadmapPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Deep hands-on technical expertise
