You will have the opportunity to play an active role in defining both how our products will work for Amazonians and how they will function under the hood. The team has high quality bar, will live and breathe sound development practices and will iterate quickly on the products it will create. You will be working alongside with senior engineers, and learning opportunities will abound.

We are currently hiring experienced technology professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit to get in on the ground-floor of this highly-visible green field opportunity. Our team in Vancouver will take part in this new work, building the tools that allow our great people to focus on what they do best: changing the world.

Basic Qualifications
Here's what you've done:

    •5+ years of hands-on software Management experience
    •Deep understanding of object oriented design and development
    •Proven track record of designing, developing, and operating software at scale
    •Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain attention to detail and work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

    •Proven track record delivering high-quality, on-time, elegant solutions
    •Excellent communication skills.

    •Experience developing in a Linux environment
    •Familiarity with building high quality, AJAX enabled websites. HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS experience.
    •Experience with languages/technologies such as Ruby/RoR UIs, Python, R, etc.
    •Ability to think critically and arrive at elegant solutions to challenging problems
