We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic as a dedicated Social Worker to our In-Patient Psychiatry unit at Royal Columbian Hospital located in New Westminster, British Columbia. Build on your education and career experience as you:
    •Deliver comprehensive therapeutic clinical counselling services and social worker services to patients suffering acute episodes of mental illness and substance misuse/dependence. •Conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments of patients and families using a variety of assessment tools and in accordance with professional standards, clinical policies and practices. •Assume a key role in planning for care during the hospital stay, and community treatment plans after discharge by methods such as interviewing the patient and/or family to assess and determine care plan and type of service required. •Develop, oversee, and deliver in-services, presentations, psycho-educational and support groups and/or training related to mental health by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team, determining relevant content and required audiovisual/handout aids, conducting literature searches and planning and coordinating seminars.

To join our team, you have:
    •Master's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work. •One (1) year recent, related experience in a mental health treatment setting. •Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
