to our Patient & Family Counselling
services located at Burnaby Hospital
in Burnaby, British Columbia. Build on your education &career experience as you:
•Formulate a psychosocial assessment and treatment plan by reviewing referrals, gathering information about the client/significant others with respect to social, emotional, cultural, response to illness, coping abilities, environmental and financial situations; •Provide clinical and ongoing supportive counselling services to patients/families regarding identified problems, adjustment to illness, personal concerns, lifestyle changes, treatment objectives, withdrawal from treatment and, bereavement counselling as required; •Participate in quality improvement activities by providing input into the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental and program goals, objectives, policies and procedures; •Act as a resource to patients and families. To join our team you have:
