An established manufacturer of custom high-end cabinetry with an excellent reputation for design, service and quality is looking for an experienced Shipper/Receiver.

Your primary responsibilities will be prepping and shipping cabinets, ensuring orders are complete when shipped, receiving goods and materials and reporting any problems to the Production Manager. If you know how to handle, tag, track, store, package, document and load cabinets in a production environment, and want to take your career to the next level as a full Shipper/Receiver, this position would be ideal. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee wrapping and packaging of cabinets for loading/unloading from trucks, record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Prepare orders for shipping and ensure each order is complete
  • Loading cabinets and protecting them so no shipping damage can occur
  • Coordinate shipping orders including generating load sheets, invoices and packing slips, schedule shipping and ensure Accounting is given all documentation for invoicing
  • Responsible for receiving materials and distributing to the correct departments 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience shipping/receiving cabinets or wood related materials within a warehouse and production facility
  • High School diploma
  • Forklift license would be an asset
  • Able to safely operate industrial lift truck, forklifts, dollies, hand trucks and pallet lifters
  • Ability to proactively address issues, be self-directed and operate within specific objectives under a tight schedule that can change
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic level administrative tasks to follow the production schedule
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
