River Rock Casino Resort is recruiting for a driven, skilled and detail orientated Shift Manager, Surveillance
to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and leading the surveillance operations by monitoring, reporting and providing recommendations relating to all activities to best safeguard all assets and provide a safe environment for all team members and guests. The Shift Manager, Surveillance will ensure the highest level of compliances of all regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, while supporting and fostering an environment based on growth and development. Duties and responsibilities for our Shift Manager will include:
•Providing leadership and direction to the Surveillance Operations at the site level on a shift basis; providing input for employee performance objectives and evaluations •Assisting with the implementation of Surveillance Operation strategic plans •Scheduling and supervising team members, verifying timesheets; assigning shift work assignments •Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations, large cash and cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access •Maintaining logs; updating records; storing records securely for evidence purposes •Monitoring, documenting and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule •Dispatching security as required •Reviewing special investigation results or requests as directed; provides reporting Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
•Post-Secondary education in criminology or suitable combination of education and experience an asset •Minimum 5 years of surveillance and/or security experience; minimum 2 years supervisory experience; gaming experience preferred •Responsible beverage service certification when required •Computer proficiency in MS Office •Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time •Possess a high level of honesty and integrity •Adherence to highs standards, methods and procedures •Knowledge of the Gaming Control Act, GCC & BCLC Policies and Procedures •Background experience in Criminology an asset •Ability to work in a team environment •Goal Oriented •Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication •A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests •A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development •Live GCC's Values on the job: Integrity, Team Engagement, Drive to Succeed, Service Excellence and Citizenship •A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, graveyards, weekends and holidays. The hours of work will be based on customer and business needs.
