Telus supports a myriad of mainframe customers hosted in our state of the art Hardware and Software infrastructure. As a member of this Mainframe Technical Services Team, you will configure and maintain the z/OS security environment our TELUS customers. You will enhance and develop standards and procedures to enable large economies of scale providing high levels of efficiencies and quality of service. You will be part of the team that implements and supports z/OS System Security. You will be a subject matter expert and 3rd level support for system problems and participate in the on-call 24 by 7 support rotation.Here's how...
•Design, develop and maintain the Security Teams Operational and Technical documentation
•Create and execute Disaster Recovery procedures for the supported products and clients
•Develop innovative solutions to resolve problems
•Evaluate, recommend and test third party software products and tools
•Ensure all systems are kept at supported and serviceable maintenance levels
•Service requests sent to the Security team Mail Box
•Interface and assist Customers, Application Programmers, and other support teams with security problem analysis and problem resolution
•Support upgrades of z/OS system software/hardware
•Planning for Security and Audit requirements for both TELUS and Customers
•Security and compliance reporting responsibilities will involve supporting existing procedures and processes using various tools
•Rotational On-Call support for Security issues on z/OS systems and software products Please note, this role will require:
•24x7 on-call support on rotating shift basis
•Occasional shift work off-hours as required to fit maintenance windows Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle...
•You have expert z/OS Technical skills with a minimum of 7-10 years of practical experience supporting a large enterprise environment, and a minimum of 5 years' experience supporting z/OS security operations
•You possess strong communication skills with experience communicating with support personnel, technical team members, customers, and senior leadership
•You have a thorough understanding of IBM z/OS Operations and Security environments including expert knowledge with RACF or other Mainframe Security products
•A detailed knowledge of day to day mainframe operations and interactions within security and data integrity
•Experienced with Audit and Compliance practices
•Prior experience in Security Reporting
•Bachelor's degree or Diploma, plus equivalent work experience of a Minimum 5-10 years of experience in operating mainframe systems environment
•Mastery of the following technologies and tools: Who is TELUS?
•RACF support, reporting
•Vanguard or similar tool
•z/OS skills, JCL, Catalogue, Storage, Tape, Disk
