Position Overview:

The CSD Strategic Initiatives team is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic, driven, and bright individuals with a proven track-record of delivery. As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will play an integral role in the design, planning and execution of key complex transformational projects in CSD. You demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and can develop strong partnerships with both internal and external business leaders to deliver on your objectives.

Who is Customer Solutions Delivery?

Customer Solutions Delivery (CSD) is responsible for providing TELUS services to our residential customers while designing, maintaining and upgrading our wireline network. With over 2,500 team members and 2,000 partners across Canada, the CSD team is working in our communities, on the road, on-site and behind the scenes, to make sure our customers have the services they need when they need them.

The CSD Strategic Initiatives team acts as a consultant workforce to execute and deliver transformative projects with direct correlation to CSD and TELUS organizational performance objectives. The team is comprised of experienced analysts, consultants, and recent graduates who exemplify the TELUS values and are looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity on an accomplishment driven team. As a member of the CSD Strategic Initiatives team you will solve complex business problems, leverage and grow your consultant skillset, and contribute to an amazing team culture.


As a Senior Strategy Manager on the CSD Strategic Initiatives team, you will work with your key stakeholders and team to successfully deliver the following outcomes:
    •Identify top opportunities to improve CSD performance and develop corresponding business cases required to support transformational investments
    •Structure and execute programs, including planning and coordinating individual projects, to successfully deliver intended business outcomes
    •Analyze and solve business problems by developing insightful and practical solutions to complex or unstructured challenges and opportunities
    •Lead, mentor, and develop the business and technical team members engaged on your portfolio


Required Knowledge:
    •Strong understanding of how to leverage business analysis in the assessment and prioritization of business cases and individual performance improvement initiatives
    •Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and practices
    •Knowledge of telecommunications industry and its business and operational key performance indicators is an asset

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical problem solving skills
    •Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence all levels of management including senior executives and cross functional/departmental teams
    •Excellent planning and organization skills
    •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    •Willingness to work in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience

Required Experience:
    •5 years of managing cross functional performance improvement projects of large scale and/or complexity
    •Strategic planning experience
    •Stakeholder management experience
