We are currently searching for a (Senior) Research Associate, Neurology to join our team.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager of CP&D Neurology, and also to the Director of CP&D, the incumbent shall implement experiments and projects under the Neurology umbrella. This will include but is not limited to experimental design and techniques, data analysis, and writing project reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help conduct preclinical studies using animal models of neurological disorders
  • Harvest and section tissue samples
  • Perform histological and immunohistochemical staining
  • Image and analyze histopathological markers
  • Carry out molecular assays and analyses, including Western blotting
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of CPD

Qualifications and Experience:

  • We are seeking for a motivated M.Sc. or Ph.D. graduate to join our research team as Associate or Senior Associate (depending on the qualification and experience).
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a research lab.
  • Experience in working with laboratory animals and in performing histological techniques is required.
  • Expertise in Neurology/Neuroscience is preferable.
  • Experience with cell culture, in vitro assays and Western Blotting is an asset.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team is essential.
  • The ability to uphold high standards of animal care and laboratory practices is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals.
  • Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion; maintaining confidentiality of files, personal information, and other matters, as appropriate.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
