The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead - In this role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure across British Columbia. You'll lead multidisciplinary projects that support clean water initiatives, managing scope, schedule, and budget while fostering strong client relationships. Reporting to the Director, Electrical, SCADA & Facilities, you'll help shape the future of water in Canada.
Your Impact
- Deliver electrical and control system projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring quality and compliance with WSP standards.
- Lead project teams through design, tendering, and construction phases, driving successful outcomes for clients and communities.
- Prepare feasibility studies, preliminary engineering designs, and capital cost estimates that influence critical infrastructure decisions.
- Design and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications, supporting commissioning and field activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand WSP's service offerings in the water sector.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and registration with EGBC (or eligibility for immediate registration).
- 10+ years of consulting engineering experience, including water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver electrical and control system projects from concept through commissioning.
- Expertise in Canadian Electrical Code and related standards, with hands-on experience in MV/LV power systems and instrumentation design.
- Strong business acumen with experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, and managing client expectations.
- A passion for sustainable infrastructure and making a positive impact on communities.

Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $114,600 - $151,800
MB & ON: $104,500 - $143,900
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $103,500 - $137,400
