This portfolio is on the cutting edge of innovation in the telecommunications space where TELUS is actively engaged with communities of all sizes, local and provincial governments, Indigenous communities and other organizations to identify opportunities to expand broadband technology and services to areas otherwise unreachable. This is a fast-growing portfolio and one of the most strategic network programs at TELUS. Part of our mandate is to provide residents and businesses within rural communities with the full suite of TELUS products and services that are meaningful to them. This year we are connecting over 130 rural communities by October as part of $45M in subsidies TELUS was awarded to bring PureFibre and DSL internet to these Rural and Indigenous communities.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
In this role you will Program Manage our rural connectivity program which is a Big Rock program for CNI Overall this year. Your support will include gathering data and information, extracting insights and building and managing compelling proposals with external entities to improve connectivity in communities from ideation through to implementation.
This role involves delivering on very strong project management techniques with internal and external stakeholders, supporting direct engagement with rural and Indigenous communities, and building a robust long term programmatic approach for Rural and Indigenous relationships and connectivity. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is up for the rapid pace of change, likes to work with a variety of people, and is game to build programs and solutions and a dynamic set of subjects.Here's how
•Sr Program Manager owns the program end-to-end and works with stream leads to manage budget, market (RGU's, Penetration, etc) performance, and client/community experiences delivered in these rural areas. This year we are connecting over 130 rural and Indigenous communities by October.Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Lead and partner with cross functional TELUS teams to provide rural connectivity solutions across Alberta & BC.
•Support engagement activities with communities across BC and AB, ensuring a high quality relationship that supports a predictable and positive experience internally and externally.
•Craft compelling government subsidy applications under tight time pressures. Work with internal business units to generate relevant content required for specific connectivity projects.
•Manage end to end subsidy application, reporting and fund collection process.
•Create & Maintain records and dashboard metrics pertaining to subsidy applications and collaborate with internal teams to influence improvements to data tracking, analysis and reporting.
•Anticipate problems and develop solutions collaboratively across stakeholder teams.
•Develop communication materials, tools and templates to ensure powerful communication to our internal and external clients
•Create project plans and apply project management methodology to programs and initiatives, including leveraging systems and tools (i.e. Google, Microsoft, survey tools, data analysis tools) to support build execution, subsidy reporting and post mortems.
•Confident in working with all levels of an organization, you are extremely persuasive, attentive and have an ability to provide insight and make recommendations based on your analysis Great-to-haves

•Valued for your leadership in developing and executing strategy and develop creative solutions where challenges are presented
•Excellent writing and document management skills
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Drive, Hangouts etc.)
