Senior Personal Injury Legal Administrative Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Administrative Assistant who specializes in Personal Injury matters for our client, a mid-sized firm located in Port Coquitlam. The successful candidate will be experienced, detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, reliable, and able to work as a team player in a professional environment! Candidates who are experienced LAA's looking to move their career into a Paralegal role are also encouraged to apply!

Salary is commensurate with experience

Role + Responsibilities

• Maintain files from open to close
• Draft various legal documents including pleasings, correspondences settlement documents, bill of costs, etc
• Maintain limitation dates, bring forward system and court diary
• Liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis, including keeping track of client updates and rehabilitation needs
• Set trial and examination for discovery dates
• Scheduling IMEs
• Track Part 7 benefits
• Requesting records and following up

Education + Qualifications

• Legal Administrative Assistant Certification and/or Paralegal Certification (on-going or completed)
• 4-5+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Legal Administrative Assistant
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organization
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills
