Job Skills / Requirements

The Operations Centre Senior Operator (Support Services) is responsible for carrying out support service offerings to our client and front-line staff from our 24/7 Operations Centre. This is primarily achieved through facilitating effectively dispatching and reporting on alarm notifications, ensuring data-integrity within our scheduling and reporting software, and overseeing & supporting the Operation Centre Operators (Support Services). In addition, the Operations Centre Senior Operator (Support Services) is responsible for providing assistance and supporting the Specialty Services and Scheduling teams as required, while acting as a second in command to the Operations Supervisor to ensure continuity throughout each shift.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Primary
1. Conducts audits of scheduling and reporting software to ensure data-integrity
2. Facilitates timely dispatching of alarm and accurate follow up reports with resolutions for each.
3. Processes client requests for ad-hoc security officer coverage into our scheduling software.
4. Effectively communicates occurrences impacting operations to internal stakeholders, as necessary.
5. Ensures front-line security staff are informed and equipped to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
6. Compiles and distributes shift briefs recapping pertinent events to the support services team.
Secondary
7. Manages and maintains work-alone requirements for front line staff, as required.
8. Supports after-hours scheduling for non-Lower Mainland requirements.
9. Assists in radio and equipment tracking and inventory.
10. Helps with communications in the event of a significant incident.
11. Supports Specialty Services and Scheduling groups, as needed.
12. Performs other duties as requested to assist with Paladin needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have flexible availability and are able to work graveyard shifts.
• A minimum of two years' progressive experience with Paladin; supervisory experience is an asset
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, and ability to learn new software / applications.
• Excellent computer skills with fast and accurate typing (greater than 50 WPM with no errors)
• Commitment to professionalism and excellence in customer service
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Grade 12 diploma
