The Senior Partnerships Manager plays a key role in leading the sourcing and supporting theexecution, development and management of partnerships for Coast Capital. Reporting to the Director, Product Strategy, the Senior Manager's primary responsibilities include partnering with key stakeholders, product managers and business units to assess key partnership opportunities that will support Coast Capital's expansion ambitions. The Senior Manager will develop and manage the partnerships pipeline and work with surrounding stakeholders to determine the attractiveness of partnership opportunities and the associated fit, financial feasibility and expected value to Coast Capital. In support of those activities, the Senior Manager will also work with surrounding stakeholders to drive research, risk analysis, financial analysis, project management, internal execution and go-to-market planning. Additionally the Senior Manager will be responsible for making well thought through recommendations that are consistent with our corporate strategy and product shelf and will oversee a team of Partnership Managers and guide them to effectively optimize and create win-win scenarios for our existing partner relationships.

What you'll get to do:
  • Manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities and effectively prioritize based on alignment with Coast's corporate strategy and product shelf needs
  • Actively identify, source, evaluate and champion the delivery of new partnership opportunities through Coast (Vendor management, Procurement, Risk, Architecture, ETS, Fulfillment), overseeing the end-to-end implementation
  • Actively support Product Strategy in identifying new products that may be best sourced through partnerships to enhance the Coast Capital ecosystem and value proposition development.
  • Work with Partnership Managers, Product Managers, and cross functional teams in partnership delivery to implement partnership relationships and solutions
  • Work with Product, Member Experience, and Strategy to develop and design partnership solutions across Retail Banking, Small Business & Commercial Banking that deliver against Coast Capital's strategic segments value proposition and social purpose
  • Manage a team of Partnership Managers and support their activities to manage and optimize our existing partner relationships.
  • Oversee select key partnership relationships, and manage through regularly scheduled account reviews, annual business planning, quarterly reporting, and annual performance reviews.
  • Understand business and growth objectives, at the enterprise and business line level to effectively support strategic initiatives.
  • Remain up to date on financial services, technology, and fintech trends and apply insights to Coast Capital
  • Create confidential information memorandums, management presentations, quantitative and qualitative reports, proposals, marketing materials and other general presentations.
  • Regularly review Partnerships methodology, approach, models and other critical infrastructure to assess completeness and opportunities for improvement.
  • Listen, invite and incorporate differing ideas and perspectives from various stakeholders while remaining focused on the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases, strategic documents and financial models that bring ideas and opportunities to life, linking to fulfillment of Coast Capital's strategic priorities, supporting stakeholders through the Business Case development and financial modeling process.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that require executive & business unit alignment and buy in.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders to articulate strategic value, data and information needs, timelines and business needs.
  • Think at a strategic level and clearly articulate thoughts and ideas to senior executives through written reports, presentations and verbal updates.

  • Who are we looking for?
  • Minimum 7+ years of combined experience in corporate development, management consulting, product management, and/or partnership management types of roles.
  • Minimum undergraduate university degree, an MBA or other post-graduate degree, or equivalent industry related experience preferred.
  • Enrollment in CFA and/or CPA program considered an asset.
  • Strong financial services and/or fintech industry domain expertise, including differing business models, distribution channels, products and technology structures.
  • Expert communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Excellent research, analytical and financial/quantitative modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize large quantities of information and build concise program materials
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau and Salesforce.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
  • Ability to think strategically and to operationalize concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to manage complexity and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Design thinking and agile development experience an asset.
