Where:  Downtown Vancouver, in a beautiful corporate office. The Sr. Manager will also travel domestically for around a quarter of the year- but trust us, this is fun travel and you can schedule it in advance so it doesn’t conflict with other life commitments.

What- the Role:  Senior Manager, Guest Experience. This is a unique, rewarding, and fast-paced people management role well-suited to someone who leads by example- a natural leader with a positive and inspiring presence. The new Sr. Mgr. will be responsible for a diverse team of over 200 people, including 8 Managers. The varied responsibilities of this role include team presentations, team building initiatives, change management projects, roll-out and management of new initiatives and programs, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding, etc. The true foundation of this position, though, is people leadership.  Swim Recruiting can provide interested candidates with a thorough job description.

Who- the Candidate:  We are seeking a true people-person with high emotional intelligence as well as an adaptable and professional leadership style.

  • Several years’ experience leading a large team (teams of 100+ people…  the larger the better!), including Managers and Assistant Managers.  Experience leading a remote team is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communicator- in-person and written
  • Professional and polished; equally comfortable working on the front-line as you are in a corporate headquarters.
  • Tech savviness is important, particularly with guest experience related systems and software. Past experience with system implementation projects and systems-related change management is an asset.
  • Experience in a customer-service focused sector such as hospitality, retail, tourism, and food & beverage is an asset but not necessarily required for a quick learner with transferable skills.
  • Relevant post-secondary education and/or professional development is preferred, such as a B.Comm., a leadership or coaching certificate, an executive MBA, etc.  

How Much: 6-figure base salary commensurate with people leadership experience and skills. The company also provides an achievable performance-based bonus and great benefits & perks.  Please discuss further with Swim.
