The Team
The Global Marketing Technology team is a fast-paced agile team responsible for leading and overseeing architecture, development, and support of Scotiabank's digital marketing technical capabilities around the globe. Our team leads the technology strategy and roadmap for marketing content delivery framework, content management systems, campaign management systems, and other web-scale customer journey enabling systems for digital marketing.

The Role
Reporting to the Director, Global Marketing Technology the Senior Manager of Content Delivery Platforms & Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) is responsible for providing leadership and direction on end-to-end technology architecture, design, implementation, and operational support. Interacting with business and technology leaders across the Bank, the successful candidate will establish a dynamic strategy focused on utilizing tools and capabilities in innovative ways that are aligned to our enterprise architecture. The role requires a deep understanding of the technology. a passion for innovation, inspired leadership and drive for results, experience in large program technology delivery and superior organization & communication skills.
Some of the key accountabilities include:
• Manage the team that architects, develops, operates, and supports Adobe Experience Manager CMS, Akamai Global CDN and associated digital marketing technology solutions
• Design, implement, track, and regularly report on key operational metrics for Global Marketing Technology team
• Establish and maintain a sustainable and operational resilient team to support the execution of the multi-year roadmap focusing on value delivery, on-time, on-budget and with high quality
• With many years of technology experience, lead, coach and continuously advance the capabilities of the technology team ensuring we are identifying and building future technology skills & capabilities
• Champion the use of diverse technology, industry best practices and data analytics to continuously advance business capabilities
• With a global mindset while appreciating regional differences, work directly with key business stakeholders to create, gain support for and maintain a Technology Strategy & multi-year roadmap that includes prioritization for all initiatives
• Clearly communicate and garner support for the technology vision & strategy to business and technology leaders across the bank
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors through proactive management and governance practices
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, advice and knowledge transfer to team members on all aspects of application development for assigned applications or technology

What You Will Bring to Succeed:
• 5+ years of experience managing a public facing cloud-based web infrastructure engineering team with responsibility and accountability spanning architecture, solution design, implementation, and operations
• 5+ years of experience managing a Service Reliability Engineering team providing production operational support of mission critical systems with 99.9% or high availability target
• 3+ years of experience managing Adobe Experience Manager content management system or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience managing public cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure, GCP, AWS)
• 3+ years of experience managing mission critical public web sites
• 3+ years of experience managing Akamai content distribution network integrated web-based solutions
• Expert understanding of monitoring and alarming solutions such as Dynatrace, Thousand Eyes, Splunk, and
• Expert understanding of standard IP & web technologies such as DNS, IP routers, firewalls, IP gateways, API gateways, load balancers, web servers
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing effective operational support processes
