My client, a small to mid-sized law firm is seeking a professional and client focused Senior Legal Assistant / Paralegal. Based in modern offices in Coquitlam, this law firm has been successfully supporting clients for over 30 years. This client prides themselves on their team-based model and their collaborative organizational culture designed to get results.
Your new role
The successful Senior Legal Assistant / Paralegal will provide invaluable support to the team of professionals, using initiative to determine how to best support the client. You will conduct client meeting and support the claim process, managing time lines and preparing for court. You will draft legal documents, correspondence and also prepare bills and close files.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will hold a Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma or be a graduate of a Law program at an accredited college, and have 3+ years' experienced as a Legal Assistant in the litigation field. It is essential you are able to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities; you must also have advanced intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word proficiency and have an accurate typing of at least 40WPM.
