The TELUS Consumer Health team will focus on empowering Canadians to take control of their health and the health of their loved ones with the right information, tools and support they need to live healthier and happier lives. This exciting new position will play a core role in defining and executing on digital health strategies, including different models for the delivery of health services, to help consumers achieve their health goals. Responsibilities:
•Provide thought-leadership and guidance on the delivery of health services using digital platforms, applications and other emerging technologies
•Contribute to the development and evolution of business strategy/roadmap for digital health services and key priorities within TELUS Consumer Health
•Review, assess and advise on the quality of health services delivered through digital health solutions from a clinical point of view
•Contribute to the development of care guidelines and training materials
•Provide leadership for process improvement and redesign of digital health solutions based on client feedback, data, interviews and other source of information
•Define, measure, and evolve key performance indicators and operational metrics to deliver insight into strategic and operational performance
•Support initiatives to educate and promote external stakeholders and customers on the benefits and effectiveness of digital health solutions
•Provide clinical consulting expertise in the formulation of digital health solutions
•Coach and mentor peers on aligning application solutions with clinical processes
•Support special projects as requested from leadership team and key stakeholders
•Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, appreciation and continuous improvementQualifications:Required Knowledge:
•A passion for technology and understanding how digital health solutions can be used to help consumers/patients with their health needs
•Experience in a healthcare setting delivering care
•Recognized as an expert in their field, teaches/mentors internally/externally
•Demonstrate very strong knowledge of healthcare practice methodology
•Keen desire to drive transformative and strategic change, by solving complex problems
•Demonstrate a strong knowledge of business analytics and process methodology
•Ability to drive change on an end-to-end basis across multiple stakeholders and business units
•Broad healthcare industry knowledge and experience Required Skills & Abilities:
•Strong leadership and team/project/product management experience as well as financial acumen
•Self-starter and able to support quality and results with directional guidance
•Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) capabilities and attention to detail/quality
•Strong PowerPoint and executive storytelling capabilities
•Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in fast-paced ever-changing environment
•Ability to take on complex initiatives in an ambiguous environment
•Ability to work and communicate effectively across different levels of management and cross-functional teams Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Health professional, e.g. Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Psychoanalyst, Certified Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker, Clinical Care Managers, etc
•Master's Degree or above related to profession
•MBA or Master Health Administration degree is an asset
•Proof of membership with provincial regulatory body or license, where applicable Required Experience:
•5 years' work experience
•Experience working in a healthcare setting
