THE ROLE

We are working with one of BC's largest organizations that are looking to hire a Financial Analyst. Depending on experience, they are also open to hiring the role as a Senior Financial Analyst.

With the client being a parent company with multiple entities across the US and Canada, the (Senior) Financial Analyst will operate at the corporate level and report on consolidated results. This includes supporting the company's Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution for Finance, along with the company's reporting and FP&A functions. You will also manage and maintain the company's CPM, dealing with troubleshooting.

The client has experienced a sustained period of growth due to M&A activities and this is an amazing time to join them. They are able to offer a hybrid work model both now and post-pandemic (1-2 days at home per week).

RESPONSIBILITIES

•The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues

•Continuously improve management reporting and analytics in areas including (but not limited to) working capital management, business KPI performance; and P&L analyses

•This will involve developing detailed reports to provide detailed reports with some more advanced projects such as building key dashboards

•Support business review process and regular internal reporting, financial modeling and analyses with regards to actuals, budgets, and projections

•Support preparation of presentations and reporting to the Company's Board of Directors and other stakeholders

•Collaborate with other Corporate teams to support cross-functional tasks and enhance FP&A process

•Serve as a system super-user responsible for maintenance, security, onboarding, troubleshooting and training

•Continuously improve reporting and value-added analyses of financial reporting, planning & budgeting, quarterly reviews, and various senior management presentations

•Become fully engaged in deployment activities by providing technical guidance to project teams and developing material and conducting training as new reports, features & functionality go live to both technical and non-technical audiences

•Deliver on projects including system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations and other special projects

QUALIFICATIONS

•Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment at a large corporation

•Bachelors Degree (accounting or business related). CPA designated (or close to completion)

•3+ years of relevant work experience

•Possess advanced modelling and advanced functions for Excel

•Long-term approach and ability to think ahead to provide future-proof solutions

•An open and articulate communicator with strong analysis, presentation and written communication skills

•Capable of working independently while at the same time contributes effectively in a team

•Ability to perform concurrent tasks / projects, change priorities and reallocate resources as applicable

•Previous system implementation experience is a plus
