IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking an Senior Data/Wireless Network Analyst to join our client in the Lower Mainland.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients/stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Assessment of the current status of Communication Rooms for the environmental; power, cabling, rack, PDU, UPS, fibre cabling, copper-BIX connections
  • Preparation of network switches for placement within each rack
  • Preparation of documentation captured during the assessment, preparation and implementation phases
  • Develop an understanding of the current standards related to the wired and wireless network equipment installation / configuration / operations
  • Logical mapping and pre-configuration of network switches
  • Other tasks as required related to the upgrade of the Edge Communications Rooms

Ideal Candidate                                                      

  • In-depth knowledge / experience with current network standards and industry best practices required to implement a reliable, high-density wireless and wired data networks
  • Experience conducting site assessments / audits of horizontal cable pathways at specific sites
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco or Aruba wireless network hardware
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco or HP data networking hardware
  • Experience in designing and implementing voice grade wireless networks
  • Experience implementing public facing guest networks
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills
  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
