Position Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst under the direction of the Lead Data Analyst gathers, analyses, and reports data related to QHR's core business performance metrics. This includes both internal and external metrics systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring data is presented in a clear and actionable manner while supporting site managers with information that assists their decision making. The Senior Data Analyst will participate in complex and time sensitive projects and will be expected to assist and guide junior staff.

Essential Functions:
- Facilitate business intelligence gathering, both internal and external.
- Monitor the data integrity of data collection systems.
- Provide data support for other teams and customers.
- Assist in the development of predictive models to assist with the evaluation of potential business decisions.
- Assist the Data Analysis Manager on the selection of external vendors relating to web metrics.
- Research and recommend enhancements to data collection systems.
- Assist with establishing a comprehensive, efficient, and focused process for reporting on business performance against performance metrics.
- Assist with development of business plans for new projects and initiatives related to web properties, mobile platforms, partnerships, or future platforms.
- Insure the integrity of research project data, including data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation, and analysis.
- Develop tools for, and participate in, data migration by mapping a path from the old data system to the new system through the process of data extraction and data loading.
- Perform data verification to determine if it was accurately translated.
- Develop tools for data analysis.
- Communicate issues with system-wide implications to the appropriate internal and external contacts.
- Proactively support the application of complex data initiatives.
- Support database design, administration, security, and maintenance.
- Accurately code variables from original data and complete statistical analyses as needed.
- Share knowledge of data coding and analysis techniques with other staff.
- Participate in ongoing decisions regarding study design, data collection, data analysis, and methodology.
- Secure transfer and storage of confidential patient data.
- Tracking issue occurrences for permanent solution design
- Supporting the customer-centric culture.
- Technical Training to other departments from time to time.
- Development of xml based (HL7) interfaces between systems.
- Creating reports using SQL and Jasper Reporting for use by end-users.

- University or College degree in a related field or equivalent in experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Experience in interpreting and reporting results of analysis, and experience in data processing and file management is necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of product development lifecycle.
- Must be able to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be highly organized and work well under pressure.
- Expert in Java programming.
- Expert with SQL and relational databases.
