Our Vancouver team is looking for a solution champion who is energized by disruptive change and digital transformation to join KPMG Ignition at a Senior Consultant level !

KPMG Ignition is our innovation advisory offering support to various clients' in exploring the art of the possible and build leading-edge solutions. We work collaboratively with our clients to develop new solutions. We utilize exponential technologies, human-centered thinking, and business model innovations to unpack core business challenges and help clients seize opportunities in an era of rapid and disruptive change.

What you will do

As a Senior Consultant, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in discovery sessions with senior level executives and KPMG leaders to define the clients' specific needs and challenges;
  • Supporting your Ignition team in designing and delivering impactful client workshops;
  • Supporting our strategy & innovation team to drive meaningful client opportunities based on needs defined in KPMG Ignition sessions;
  • Engaging in ongoing training and professional development to build and refine skills in Design Thinking, business strategy and new venture development;
  • Championing your own growth trajectory and learning interests to deepen your understanding of relevant trends, tech stacks and innovation strategies;
  • Being an advocate and representative of KPMG Ignition within the KPMG network. Contributing to the planning, strategy, and growth of the Ignition offering in Vancouver and across KPMG Canada;
  • Leveraging your project management and coordination skills to deliver world class client experiences during the design and delivery of Ignition sessions, operations, and client engagements.


During peak periods business needs may require working beyond regular work hours to fulfill the accountabilities required for project deadlines and client requirements. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What you bring to the role

We will look to you to bring a blend of knowledge, training, and experience, including:

Required skills and experience:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Consultant in a client facing role with real-world projects and outcomes in the technology space;
  • Experience with innovation methodologies and user-centric design;
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and requests under tight timelines;
  • Experience with workshop facilitation and application of creative storytelling to craft a compelling story that resonates with our client's business needs;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to inspire confidence and deliver creative action on projects/deliverables;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience presenting to a range of senior stakeholders. This role relies on the ability to deliver compelling and targeted messages to a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external) using digital tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies/ tools;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent education.


Desired experience, certifications, and abilities:
  • An Master of Business Administration, other post-graduate studies, or professional affiliations is preferred;
  • Demonstrated data literacy including an understanding of data and analytics tools and disciplines (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, etc.);
  • Design Thinking certification or professional training.

  • You are a proficient communicator for your level of experience, both verbally and written, with the ability to deliver professional communications, presentations, reports and documentation. You are aware of your areas of improvement and open to mentorship and professional development;
  • You have developed effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks when urgency is required. You are not afraid to put your hand up if you need support;
  • You are team-oriented and thrive in working within a collaborative environment.
