Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

We are looking for an experienced Senior Community Investment Manager supporting the Thompson Okanagan community needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate citizenship and business acumen with a deep knowledge of the charitable sector. As part of our dynamic team spread coast to coast, you will report to the Manager, Community Investment but support the local Community Board and General Manager or the region.

Here's how
    • Represent TELUS to internal and external audiences from a community investment perspective • Play a leadership role in the progression of TELUS' social purpose strategy • Lead strategic giving potentially including:
      • Management of all activities associated with the successful operations of a local TELUS Community Board including supporting board meetings and associated administrative functions and the sourcing of innovative granting projects • Support and activate our regional funding strategy • Activate humanitarian relief campaigns in region when needed • Support local charitable programs and events when required • Support business enablement including: • Collaborate with the business units identifying new business development opportunities and sharing charitable sector expertise; • Support all philanthropic go to market activities including those of our regional marketing teams to identify partners for cause marketing initiatives and manage all associated charitable relationships; • Drive team engagement by supporting the local execution of national programs such as Future Friendly Days, Team TELUS Cares campaigns and supporting the work of the TELUS Community Ambassadors


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    • Strong business acumen and comfortable working with all levels of senior leaders within TELUS for local community initiatives support • Demonstrated understanding of corporate philanthropy, grant making and fundraising through cause marketing • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with experience using Google suite, project management and the ability to create purposeful presentation decks • Proven ability to work independently but as part of a virtual national team to deliver results • Familiarity with Indigenous cultures and French language skills are helpful

Great-to-haves
    • Undergraduate degree in relevant field and/or 7+ years relevant business and/or senior level not-for-profit experience; • Previous experience working with a not for profit volunteer board of directors is an asset
