As part of TD Insurance, the Data, Analysis, and Insight (DAI) group supports internal business partners by providing valuable insights and analyses.
Within DAI, the Affinity Market Insights team and the Claims Insights team are trusted partners to executive, operational, and actuarial stakeholders such as Affinity Market, Claims Operations, Pricing, Corporate Actuarial, Product, Vendor Management, and others. The team combines talent from actuaries, business intelligence analysts, and data specialists to provide business-specific insights and analytics to our partners which help guide their decision-making.
Affinity Market Insights: Relied on to analyze emerging growth, retention, and behavioral trends, group performance, and penetration rates, the team delivers KPI monitoring, in-depth analyses, and actionable recommendations to partners.
Claims Insights: Relied on to investigate emerging claims trends, the team delivers KPI monitoring, in-depth analyses, and action recommendations to partners supporting frequency, severity, and expense management.
The Senior Actuarial Analyst will explore all aspects of affinity operations or claims processes, with the opportunity to collaborate with key partners across the organization. You will be instrumental in delivering key strategic priorities, with regular opportunities to present analyses and reporting to partners and executives.

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Actuarial Analyst III will be involved in the following key activities:
- Develop and improve analytic tools and methods to support insight generation.
- Proactively identify issues, emerging trends, and opportunities through analysis and insights.
- Perform deep-dive analyses of results and communicate recommendations effectively to partners and executives across the organization.
- Oversee end-to-end analysis and insight solutions of varying complexity, from initial demand intake through delivery of reporting/analysis and presentation of results.
- Apply an effective, collaborative approach to stakeholder management by building and nurturing positive working relationships with key partners and executives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with progress toward ACAS designation
- Experience in general insurance
- Strong programming skills (SQL, Python, R).
- Highly developed problem-solving and analysis skills with consistent rigor in quality of work.
- Uses innovation and creativity to improve work efficiency and results.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, and external stakeholders
