This organization has been contributing to positive change for almost 150 years! They believe in doing what they can to strengthen their communities by supporting healthy lifestyles for people of all ages. As one of the leading charities in the Lower Mainland, they provide support to over 100,000 people annually.
A growing company, they are currently looking to add a Senior Accountant to join one of their teams. In this role, you will be responsible for posting month end entries, and accruals into the general ledger. You will analyze financial statements and perform variance analysis. You will also take on a mentorship role, and help to train staff on procedures related to accounting. You will prepare statistics reports and year end working papers. You will use your analytical skills to monitor compliance and highlight areas of inefficiency.
For this position, we are looking for a designated accountant, with a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience. Due to the Not-for-profit nature of the organization, we are looking for candidates who share their values. Any volunteer experience should be highlighted and will be considered an asset. Strong excel skills are required (proficiency with pivot tables and vlookups).
