What- the Role: 
Swim Recruiting is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager for this great organization.  The new  employee will support the full-cycle accounting for half a dozen entities and is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, payments management, routine and ad hoc investor reporting, working papers, as well as assisting with treasury/banking/cashflow management, and taxation matters.  Accuracy and integrity of the data is paramount and must be performed in a confidential manner. This is a small yet mighty organization, and the accounting team pulls together on administrative tasks, as well. 
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with strong finance, accounting, tax, general bookkeeping, and cash management skills to contribute to a well-run and diversified executive office.  This is a stable and long-term career opportunity! Who- the Candidate: 
We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager who has relevant work experience and skills, of course, but also has the personality to mesh well with the tight-knit, collaborative, and humble team. Friendly and effective communication skills are key, as is an approachable and down-to-earth style. Candidates will ideally have previous experience with a privately-held and multi-entity holding company (can be from client portfolio at public practice). Strong technical accounting skills are crucial and tax compliance knowledge is highly preferred.  
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
  • CPA Accounting designation (or legacy CA or CGA) or International equivalent. 
  • Experience with multi-entity businesses (public practice clients and/or in-house), ideally family-owned businesses. 
  • Experience with treasury, banking, and cashflow management
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is crucial and prior experience using QuickBooks is a significant asset. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance experience, including experience completing forms and filings (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, GST, PST, payroll, WSIB/employer health tax, etc.) would be advantageous.

How Much: 
Generous base salary, commensurate with accounting experience, education, and skills. The package also includes 4 weeks’ vacation, CPA support, health & dental benefits, and other employee perks.
