Job Description

Hiring: Senior Accountant

Location: Surrey, BC

Type: Permanent (in office)

Salary Range: $75K - $90K

Our growing public practice client in Surrey is looking to add a Senior Accountant. Reporting into the Manager, you will be responsible for client communication and mentoring junior staff as well. Your duties include bookkeeping, preparing year end financial statements and files, preparing personal tax returns and corporate tax returns.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate directly with clients and provide exceptional service.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Perform bookkeeping and review accounting records.
Prepare year-end working paper files and financial statements.
Prepare personal income tax returns (T1s).
Prepare corporate income tax returns (T2s).
Assist with various accounting, tax, and advisory engagements.
Ensure work is completed accurately and within established deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of public practice accounting experience preferred.
CPA designation completed or nearing completion preferred.

Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology.
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
