Position Overview:

Senior Account Managers at TELUS own customer relationships and account strategies. They champion TELUS inside of customer organizations and advocate for the customer inside of TELUS. They quarterback an interdependent account team of inside sales, specialty sales and technical pre-sales and draw in senior sales leaders as required. They leverage the broad capabilities of TELUS - from connectivity and network backbone, to managed services, security solutions, unified communication, IoT and mobility - and various subject matter experts in the internal environment and partner community. They have individual targets for both wireline and wireless products & services, with uncapped earning potential.

Your role as Senior Account Manager is to favorably position TELUS' integrated solutions to help your customers address business issues.

    •Manage and continuing to develop a dedicated territory of accounts with the intention to grow/maintain revenue and growth opportunities in existing corporate customers •Establish trusted relationships with key decision makers, influencers and business leaders within your account(s) •Engage key customer stakeholders and an extended TELUS team to develop and update account plan(s) and actions •Preparing professional proposals targeted to the key decision makers (including the C-Suite) in the customer's terminology, that clearly communicate the TELUS solution and value •Develop and deliver propositions addressing customers' business problems, negotiating contracts, initiating orders and pursuing everything with energy, drive and a need to finish •Initiate post sales activities to ensure services sold are providing ongoing customer benefits; provide additional training to new customers as required •Compile and report statistics on present and previous wireline/wireless requirements; provide feedback to marketing and sales regarding problems, public opinion, policy matters and/or competitor challenges


Required Knowledge:
    •Proven ability to create corporate relationships between TELUS and our customers that are characterized by mutual trust and respect for the TELUS Value Proposition •Demonstrated knowledge of and a track record of successful application of formal sales methodologies •Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate financially sound TELUS solutions to customer's business problems through understanding the technologies, products, services, and resources •Ability to demonstrate leadership skills within a team environment, take control of situations when appropriate and achieve results, take initiative in representing issues and potential solutions to management •Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required

Required Experience, Skills & Abilities:
    •Proven experience in a face to face sales environment (minimum 5 years) •Exceptional track record of success •Detailed knowledge of ICT services •Strong sensitivity to customer needs and situations, yet persuasive in negotiating mutually satisfactory resolutions •Comfort with ambiguity and regular spikes in work volume and pace

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education
